Karsten Lakes

Excellently crafted

Water features are visually
pleasing but equally challenging

Designed by Neil Coles, Karsten Lakes opened in 1997. Taking full advantage of the superb views, Coles shaped the fairways majestically around five beautiful lakes and introduced large, character-defining bunkers, which cover no less than 17,500 square metres. As you would expect with a name referencing expanses of water, it comes into play on multiple holes, including two of the more challenging tests on the course. The 410-yard, par-four sixth hole features a daunting second shot across a lake, while water also stands between the tee and the green at the par-three 17th hole.
